Is a private lesson right for you?
Busy schedules
Shift workers, parents and professionals who can't make the group timetable train at a time agreed with Sigung Vargas.
A specific goal
Self-defence for a particular situation, confidence after a bad experience, or getting fit through martial arts — the session is built around it.
Faster progress
Beginners who want a head start before joining the group, and experienced martial artists who want to go deep into Jeet Kune Do (the Mastery pathway).
What a private lesson looks like
Each private lesson is 60 minutes with Sigung Ricardo Vargas at the Maidstone school. The first call is about you: your experience, your goals and any injuries, so the session can be planned properly.
Sessions combine technique, pad work and drills with the principles behind them — and, for advanced students, the philosophical mentorship of the Mastery pathway.
What to wear: sports clothes and sports shoes. Price: it depends on your goals and how often you train, so Sigung Vargas confirms it on the call.
"A technique can teach you how to strike, but only sincere practice can teach you when to act."
